
Megan Balogh, OTR/L
Megan Balogh joined Orthopedic Physical Therapy Institute as a Staff Occupational Therapist specializing in Hand Therapy in February of 2021. She previously worked at OPTI as an OT/PT technician in between semesters while pursuing her OT degree. Megan received her Masters of Occupational Therapy degree from Eastern Washington University and was awarded the recognition of 'Outstanding Student in Occupational Therapy: with a GPA of 4.0. She attended EW/U for her undergraduate studies as well and received her Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with an emphasis on psychology, graduating Summa Cum Laude with honors.
Megan has a passion for treating orthopedic conditions of the upper extremity and helping clients achieve maximal functioning in their daily lives. As an occupational therapist, she strives to incorporate clients' meaningful activities with best practice evidence and clinical experience in order to create holistic and effective treatment plans. She enjoys fabricating custom splints and has a special interest in activity modification. which involves finding ways to adapt client's desired activities to facilitate continued participation and/or improved performance. She plans to advance her skills in treating upper extremity diagnoses by working towards becoming a Certified Hand Therapist.
Megan was born and raised in Nine Mile Falls. WA, and currently resides in Spokane with her husband. Brett, and their Sheepadoodle. Mozart. Outside of work. Megan enjoys spending time with family, drawing and painting, hiking, road trips, DIY projects, and working out.
