Jason Bruns

Jason Bruns, MPT graduated from Chapman University in 1995 with Bachelor of Science in Movement and Exercise Science, and earned his Master of Physical Therapy in 1998 from Western University of Health Sciences. Jason moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1998, and ultimately found his home in Hayden Idaho in 2004. Jason is married and spends his time with his wife and two boys. He enjoys playing golf, snowboarding, hiking, camping, landscaping, and playing his bass guitar. Jason’s Physical Therapy philosophy is rooted in the regional inter-dependence and biomechanics model of examination and treatment. This model not only assesses and treats the area of pain, but also addresses areas above and below the painful area and looks at the whole person to optimize treatment outcomes.

Jason owned and operated North Star Physical Therapy and Wellness in Hayden Idaho from 2014 to 2022, and has moved on to join an excellent team of Physical Therapists and Physicians at OPTI.

Professional accomplishments:
Over 1200 hours of continuing education in orthopedics and spinal manual physical therapy assessment and treatment.
Taken all four levels from the founders of the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy
Orthopedic Clinical Specialist 2005-2015 American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists Corrective Exercise Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Intra-Muscular Trigger Point Dry Needling Practitioner Certified by the Titleist Performance Institute for golf performance screening and training
Certified by the Titleist Performance Institute Medical Level II assessment and treatment of movement dysfunction specific to the golf swing.
